Michel Quille, Deputy Director, Europol (the European police force)
"The feedback from the media training has been extremely positive. The participants were impressed and felt that they learned a lot within a short time because of your professionalism and very good understanding of a complex organisation like Europol. Your approach was gentle but at the same time tough. The honest advice and ideas for improvement were appreciated."
Andrew Ware, Partner and Head of Corporate Finance, BDO Stoy Hayward LLP
"A truly enlightening day. As financiers we can become obsessed with the exactitude of the information we are delivering and almost all of us forget that a huge part of impact is in the delivery of what we are saying, not just the content. We have found this highly tailored course provided real challenge and personal development - so much more challenging and relevant than the run of the mill presentation skills courses. We would recommend this to individuals or teams who are doing battle in a professional sales envirnment."
Wolfgang Goetz, Director, European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) Lisbon
"This was a truly excellent course - useful and challenging, as well as enjoyable. The trainers were very well prepared and put the participants through their paces in a number of different broadcast scenarios on a wide range of topics. Individual feedback and recordings were supplied very promptly after the course, along with additional tips and advice. All in all good value for money!"

"Debbie has the rare skill of being able to put people at ease, whilst still pinpointing areas for improvement. This means that she has the ability to gain a great deal of confidence from the delegates with whom she works. This careful attention to detail in a precise, but non threatening, manner has enabled her to become well respected in various NHS departments and hospitals."

Jane Kirkup, Marketing Director, Finance Planning Group
"The marketing messaging and media training workshops provided us with clear messaging that we can use in future marketing activity and media campaigns, together with an invaluable insight into the needs and mindset of the media, and an opportunity to have the messaging tested rigorously in role-play situations and learn how to communicate effectively with the media."
Major Telecommunications Company
We realised that we needed help in our interactions with TV journalists and had some pressing issues that meant we needed to accelerate this training process for our senior management team.
We used One To One Communications for the first time on this project and were very pleased with the results.
The format of this media training was that the scenarios against which our senior executives were to be tested had been tailored in advance to match the specific PR challenges that we were facing at this time. We ourselves invested particular effort in providing this input data to One To One to enable them to better customise the scenarios for this training. This time was well spent.
It was particularly useful that our executives could be given, firstly:-
- a benign friendly interview, then,
- more awkward questions, then,
- direct hostile interview training.
The ability to learn response techniques directly from a seasoned TV news journalist was invaluable. Also key was the style and the setting. Our executives could “go again” in order to improve upon their prior performance. This was all recorded and played back so that they could be coached and guided in a non-threatening environment.

I am writing to thank One To One Communications for providing my Media Training for Tonight With Trevor McDonald. It was very useful to have an outsider with a journalist's perception and tough grilling skills. This will stand me in good stead for my interview tomorrow.
P.S. The interviewer wasn't a patch on your trainer. I only had a couple of uncomfortable moments.

Debbie's ability to work with both technical and non-technical staff alike and her skills in communicating complex information helped us generate broad enthusiasm for he project. I would not hesitate to recommend One To One Communications for other projects and would certainly welcome the opportunity to work with them again.
